Smart Lettings achieves Investors in People GOLD
Smart Lettings is pleased to announce it has been awarded Gold accreditation by Investors In People (IIP), placing the company among the best employers in the country. This is the first time Smart Lettings has achieved the Gold accolade since it first gained in Investors in People in 2021 (Standard).
Investors in People is the international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results. Underpinning the Standard is the Investors in People framework, reflecting the latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry. Gold is one of the highest levels of Investors in People accreditation that can be achieved.
Achieving Gold accreditation demonstrates the significant progress Smart Lettings has made towards its aspiration of creating a great place to work and shows the company’s genuine commitment to helping its employees fulfil their potential.
The IIP framework is an external benchmark that measures employee-centred success indicators including; recruitment, training, engagement and development of employees.
Rebecca Edwards, Operations Manager, expressed her delight commenting:
“We are immensely proud to achieve Gold accreditation for a second time. We have continued to strengthen how we support and empower our people with extensive development opportunities and platforms to engage and involve everyone . It’s fantastic to receive this independent endorsement that Smart Lettings is a great place to work.”
The IIP Gold accreditation was awarded to Smart Lettings for 3 years following an assessment which took place in October 20124 involving interviews with staff members across all levels and areas of the business.
Ian Christie, IIP Assessor comments on his assessment:
The heat map above shows the final assessment outcome for Smart Lettings. In summary, it can be seen that you have delivered a very strong first Insights performance, with a high performing level in one out of the nine indicators, advanced level in six out of the nine indicators with the remaining two indicators at established level. Overall, this has resulted in you achieving Gold level accreditation - many congratulations.
As well as assessing your people practices against the ‘We invest in people’ Standard, we have tailored this report to support your vision to 'establish yourself as a leading Lettings Agent within South Wales ... and provide an exceptional service to our landlords, tenants, contractors and stakeholders'. Therefore, whilst recognising there are many areas of excellent practice, we have also offered a small number of recommendations for you to consider as you progress towards your vision.
Your previous assessment in 2021 was measured against our Standard framework, and this current Insights assessment has been significantly more demanding. Over the past three years you have made more progress against the assessment criteria in the IIP Framework. This progress has been made in the wake of large scale change, including new business ventures, key new appointments and the acquisition of another company. During this period, you have also grown the business significantly, leading to opportunities for an exciting future. We have also noticed that your new key appointments are establishing a sound foundation for more future growth.
Hearty congratulations are offered for your Gold accreditation at your first Insights assessment and we believe you are establishing a solid foundation to progress to the next level of our Award in the coming years
